Same idea, different language
Each app has its own culture. What feels natural on TikTok reads as cringe on LinkedIn, and a LinkedIn story post would get scrolled past on TikTok in a heartbeat. Repurposing means translating the idea, not resizing the file.
The native shape on each app
Start from the idea, then rebuild it in the format each app rewards:
- TikTok: a short script with the hook in the first second and a loop back to the start.
- Instagram: a carousel with one idea per slide and big type, built to be saved and shared.
- YouTube: a Short with a searchable title, or a long video when the idea has depth.
- X: a short thread that opens with a take and ends with a question.
- LinkedIn: a story first, then the lesson, written like a person and not a press release.
Fix the boring stuff that kills reach
Watermarks from another app, captions cut off before the hook, thumbnails with your face cropped out. None of it is creative work, but all of it is visible. Check caption fold points and image sizes before you hit post.
Stagger, do not blast
Posting everywhere in the same minute means you cannot reply to comments anywhere. Spread the versions across the week and you get more time with each audience, plus a few days to learn which angle landed before the next one goes out.
